GTX 1080ti – The market monster! Nvidia’s cards, especially the high end 60, 70 and 80 models are always a reliable source of performance. The 1080ti boasts an impressive 11GBs of GDDR5 memory and a boost clock of 1582MHz. Although these cards carry a price tag just shy of £700 for Nvidia’s base model, their performance and efficiency is certainly worth it.
Next up is AMD’s RX Vega, with their new Vega architecture and 8GBs of HBM2 memory, the newest release from AMD is certainly a good competitor to the GeForce series. Although a couple of gigabytes shy of the 1080ti the RX Vega 64 can dish out some serious power for a very respectable price tag.
We can’t talk about the 1080ti and leave out its baby brother, the GTX 1080. This card was able to show some of the most impressive advances of speed, power and efficiency compared to its previous generation of GPU’s and is still a contender for the top tier GPU’s. Although its 8GB of GDDR5 RAM seems to fall short compared to the 1080ti, the almost £300 gap in price really catches our eye.
